Having at last found myself with the time and, thanks to The Open University, the opportunity to finally realise my lifelong ambition of studying law

I worked long hours before and after work to study, including travelling for tutorials about an hour away from my home.  I graduated in October this year with a first class honours.

My experience with the OU has also highlighted the importance of distance learning as a format that provides great opportunities for so many people

I would urge anyone considering applying for a scholarship to go for it.

The OU changed my career prospects. It was the most positive thing I did and also the most difficult. I would do it all again if I could.

Studying online with the OU has suited my personal circumstances as a retiree and a full-time carer. It has been an interesting, enlightening and challenging experience that has added to the purpose of retirement.

Law is a very fascinating subject and continues to inspire and educate me.
