Biography

Sandisha is a PhD research student at the Open University Law School. Sandisha holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB with honours) from the University of Northampton. Her dissertation which was rewarded with distinction, examined the legality of marital rape in India and how it breaches women’s rights. She also obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Northampton. Prior to joining the PhD programme, Sandisha worked as a volunteer advice worker for the Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service.

Sandisha’s research interests are human rights, law and technology and criminal law and criminal justice.

Current research

An analysis of the extent to which UK has been able to safeguard women's rights from cyberstalking and cyberharassment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research seeks to critically analyse the extent to which UK has been able to protect women's rights from cyberstalking and cyberharassment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
