IWD 2023 - Embrace equity

To mark this year’s International Women’s Day, FLAG members share their reflections on recent developments concerning women, equality and law.

Throughout IWD week, we will be sharing blog post exploring diverse issues such as sexism in the legal profession, the crisis in policing of violence against women and coercive control. We also reflect on the present and future situation of women and gender equality in Wales and Scotland.

IWD celebration event

On 8 March, we will be hosting an event to mark the IWD.

The event will showcase research and impact of the work of cluster members through a stimulating roundtable discussion. It will also feature a book launch of Violence Against Women, Hate and Law: Perspectives from Contemporary Scotland (Palgrave Macmillan 2022) authored by Dr Kim Barker and Dr Olga Jurasz. You will have the opportunity to network with FLAG cluster members and to engage in informal discussions over light lunch.

Please follow Eventbrite link below for details and registration. Hope to see many of you on 8 March!
