The best aspect of tutoring at the Open University is supporting my students. I really enjoy supporting all of my students and assisting each individual to succeed in their studies.

School/Subject

Explore the dynamic world of business and law, where strategy meets regulation and innovation thrives. This degree equips you with the skills to navigate legal complexities, drive business success, and make a real impact. You’ll study core business and management topics, gain insight into civil justice and contract law, and understand how organisations function. In the final part of the degree, you’ll focus on business strategy and choose legal subjects that match your interests. Along the way, you’ll build expertise in decision-making, risk management, and ethics, preparing you to lead, innovate, and advocate in a fast-paced, highly regulated world.

With two small children and a job working as a director at a Big 4 accountancy practice, the OU offered me the best opportunity to balance competing demands.

My advice to students would be to focus on what you want to achieve with your degree and work hard to fulfil your potential.

On the theme of belonging, I have been involved in evaluating a peer mentoring project aimed at reducing isolation for Level 1 students.

“I was desperate to leave education as early as possible … now I’m a lawyer!”.

Aqua Koroma

I failed a module, but came back stronger.

From construction to law … thanks to the OU I’ve changed career.

My OU study has also allowed me to realise that I am capable of so much more than I thought I was.
