Refugee Week is a festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.
A screening of short films exploring the experiences of refugees and forced migrants, followed by an audience discussion featuring contributions from individuals with lived experience. Alongside international short films will be locally made pieces and interviews with members of the refugee community.
A moving and humorous drama about Donya, a young Afghan woman who relocates to California after working as a translator for the U.S. Army. This event will also include a reading by author Sonia Saada from her book If the Sea Was in Ink.
