Part of the Bringing Law to Life series of events

How good is your understanding of the legal profession? Have you ever doubted whether you will ‘fit in’ to the profession for any reason?  Entering the law can feel intimidating for anyone, whatever their background or levels of confidence.  Please come along and join our series of conversations with those in the profession who want to share their experiences. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow your confidence about how Open University students can succeed in the law.

Cara is a practising Criminal Defence Solicitor and an Associate Lecturer at the Open University.  Cara will talk about the ups and downs of a day in the life of a solicitor and the challenges of the profession.  Cara will be considering the pros and cons of the legal profession.

Hosted by Bryony Gilbert, Lecturer and Student Experience Manager

Please come along and join our series of conversations with those in the profession who want to share their experiences. Don’t miss this opportunity to grow your confidence about how Open University students can succeed in the law.

Whilst specifically designed for students studying Law, all students are welcome to attend, however there is limited capacity.

If you are a law student and have any questions or queries for the organisers, please post this on the forum here: S-UGLAW: Bringing Law to Life | OU online

There will also be an opportunity at the event for all to post a question in a Q&A box.

The interviewee, host and another member of the law school will have their cameras and microphones on; however, these will not be available to use for attendees. Please note that these sessions will be recorded and made available on the Law School YouTube page as well as other platforms.
