Dr Rebecca Kelly

I teach W820 Exploring Legal Meaning, W340 Law, Society and Culture and W350 Exploring Legal Boundaries. They are undergraduate and postgraduate modules, focusing on my interest in questions about the role of law and its relationship with legal, social, and political issues.
I enjoy teaching at the OU with its commitment to equipping students with the necessary values and skills to contribute to addressing problems and legal debates.

Meeting with students from various backgrounds, experiences, and interests provides a unique opportunity for learning and thinking about these challenges.

The design of the modules has allowed me to help students effectively question and produce their own research into how the law responds to change and supports human rights and social justice. The work and ideas of students have been a privilege to see and support.

I have over 15 years' experience teaching and conducting research in higher education. Previously, I worked in positions on policy within the Government.
