As well as co-ordinating a wide range of practical activities, the Open Justice team are also engaged in academic research on the topics of clinical legal education, access to justice and pro bono (“for the public good”) work.
The team are currently working on an empirical project exploring motivations for pro bono work amongst solicitors within England and Wales. They are also writing on the opportunities and challenges created by providing legal advice and guidance in an online setting.
